Korean Airlines: London Gatwick to Seoul

KoreanAbout Korean Airlines

Korean Air, with a fleet of 147 aircraft, is one of the world’s top 20 airlines, and operates almost 400 flights per day to 119 cities in 40 countries. It is a founding member of the SkyTeam alliance, which together with its 15 members, offers its 487 million annual passengers a worldwide system of more than 14,500 daily flights covering 926 destinations in 173 countries. In 2011, Business Traveler named Korean Air the best Asian airline for the fifth consecutive year.

Route

Earlier this year, Korean Air introduced a new service from Seoul to London Gatwick, increasing the number of routes to/from Seoul to 16 cities in 11 European countries. The airline now links London and Seoul 10 times a week through both Heathrow and Gatwick gateways.  Gatwick Airport’s Chief Commercial Officer, Guy Stephenson says: ‘South Korea remains one of Asia’s fastest-growing economies and an important growth market for the UK.  It is critical therefore that the UK has strong connections to this country and we are pleased that the airline has chosen to grow its London-Seoul route from Gatwick. We look forward to building a strong, long-term relationship with them.”
