Home was Liverpool until I moved to London; and now it’s South East London with my wife and our four-month-old baby.

Drive or public transport?

Drive – currently the BMW 5 Series.

How long have you worked at BMW?

Ten years at BMW Park Lane of which five years have been in BMW Diplomatic Sales.

Favourite BMW and/or MINI?

Currently the BMW 5 Series – very suitable for a family, but the BMW 3 Series is the best drive (in my opinion) and MINI JCW is great fun on weekends. The best city car however must be the BMW i3, our first fully electric car.

Favourite diplomatic deal of the moment?

Probably the BMW X3 at £479 per month. It may not be the cheapest offer by far that we have, but it’s a great car for the money. However we will have brand new offers coming shortly!

The BMW X5, X2, X4, 3 Series, and the first ever BMW i8 Roadster.

How is BMW helping London move towards a more carbon-free existence?

BMW Group are constantly engineering more efficient engines. We are moving the electric technology from the BMW i brand to the rest of the BMW and MINI range. We have models available that are congestion charge exempt, such as the fully electric BMW i3 that has a pure electric range of 125 miles.

What is it about BMW diplomatic service that sets the brand apart from the others?

We have a dedicated sales office on Park Lane, within walking distance from most embassies. There are leasing options for official and private individuals. We offer the ability to order country specific cars to take home or to your next posting. We have a further dedicated team at our service centre in Battersea.

If an embassy is planning a visit from VIPs/Heads of State, can BMW help advise on cars?

Absolutely, we are always happy to assist embassies where possible; if they have a state visit and need an additional official car then we will always look to help.

What would be your ideal day in London?

Hard to say, as there is too much to do in London to choose: art, theatre, walks, shopping, food, drink and football…

I’d say it depends on the time of year. In the summer time, it could be a walk in any of the royal parks, but in winter, it would be a pub lunch with friends and family.
