PERFECT INSPIRATION
Diplomat HQ received an exciting delivery from Corporate Service at Harrods
“Cookies!” my three-year-old shrieked. “Are there cookies in there?!” I’d just received a large, heavy box from the postman, embossed with a familiar green logo. Yes, there’s nothing quite like the excitement of receiving a Harrods Hamper. I too recall those emotions as a child; our family greedily anticipating the arrival of a Harrods Hamper, a Christmas gift from a generous client. Would the familiar wicker container include those goodies that I so desired (hot chocolate, biscuits, and perhaps even a teddy bear) or would my mother luck out with her favourite truffles and celebratory Champagne? Undeniably exciting and instantly recognisable, one thing is for sure, a Harrods Hamper always delivers. With heritage dating back to the 1890s, it’s impossible to think about hampers without thinking about Harrods.
Diplomat HQ was lucky enough to receive an exciting delivery from Corporate Service at Harrods: the Belgravia Hamper. Packed in traditional wicker basket, this decadent range of wine, tea, coffee, condiments, biscuits, fudge and caramels was the perfect treat to get us into the mood for the festive season. The top layer revealed delights such as parmesan and poppy seed oat biscuits, Darjeeling tea, fudge, peanut brittle and Colombian roast coffee. Then came some lemon-infused olive oil, caramel and sea salt biscuits, followed by a layer of condiments including fennel, cucumber and gin relish, Devonshire ale and apple chutney, British Borage honey and hot chocolate (cue shrieks from the children). To my husband’s delight, the final layer contained six bottles of wine (three red and three white) from around the globe including Picpoul from the Languedoc, Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley and a hearty Rioja among others. We counted a whopping 38 items in total! The Belgraviais the perfect choice for those who delight in mouth-watering delicacies from the renowned Harrods Food Halls.
Offering a wide selection of traditional favourites, other options from the Hamper collection include the Harrodian (this vast namesake hamper will keep a family going for weeks); the Wine Buyer’s Selection; the Champagne Trio; the Indulgence Hamper (think bubbles in the form of both sweet-smelling Penhaligon’s products AND champagne) or the Christmas Carol (a selection of festive favourites from the Harrods Food Halls to keep you going through the Christmas period).
For a truly unique gift, the team at Corporate Service at Harrods are happy to tailor-make hampers and gifts for all budgets.
