Explore a world of fashion and culture at a stunning showcase of international fashion at the inaugural fundraising event hosted by the Young Diplomats in London (YDL) in association with the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in London, celebrating its 125 years of partnership with the UK.

Titled ‘Weaving International Fashion – National Dress Catwalk,’ the charity event will take place on Saturday 11 May 2024 at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Town Hall in London.

Guests will enjoy the works of award-winning designers on the runway, representing over 17 embassies in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, each reflecting its unique cultural heritage. A vibrant marketplace featuring crafts, products and international cuisine will also be on offer from each participating embassy, and attendees can participate in a silent auction and raffle, with a chance to win exciting prizes. There will also be live performances from various international artists.

Countries participating include: Mongolia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, Czech Republic, Philippines, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Zambia, Mexico, Pakistan, Kuwait, Laos, China, Algeria, India, Kenya and Nigeria.

Proceeds: from the event will benefit two charities: The Felix Project https://thefelixproject.org/ a charity which distributes surplus food from stores and restaurants to foodbanks and similar organisation providing people in need in London, and Kids for Kids www.kidsforkids.org.uk a charity that provides sustainable solutions to poverty faced by children in Darfur, Sudan.
